Arrange a valuation

Possessions often need to be identified, valued and divided fairly. An independent inventory and valuation gives both parties and their advisers a clear, agreed picture of what is owned and what it is worth, and can save considerable time and legal costs.

Inventories and Valuations

We prepare inventories and valuations of individually and jointly owned possessions, from art collections and jewellery to antiques and household contents. Each report includes a description, photograph and location for every item.

Single Joint Expert

Where the parties cannot agree on the value of a painting, a jewellery collection or antiques, we are frequently instructed as Single Joint Expert, working with both parties’ solicitors. Our reports comply with Part 25 of the Family Procedure Rules 2010 and are prepared to RICS standards to withstand scrutiny and cross-examination.

Selling Items

Where items are to be sold, whether to divide the proceeds or as part of a settlement, we can arrange each sale at the auction house best suited to it and negotiate the terms. Nothing is sold through us. The auction house sells and pays the proceeds directly, as the parties or the court direct. See Sales We Have Arranged.
