Coram James Ltd. provide Expert Witness valuation reports of art, antiques, jewellery and general household items for the purposes of divorce and litigation. Our divorce and family valuation team are all art and antique experts who have extensive experience of the art market and have broad knowledge of all the fine and decorative arts.

We are often instructed as Single Joint Expert (SJE) and our RICS accredited expert witness valuation reports comply with Part 25 of the Family Procedure Rules 2010. Our valuation documents assist in the dispute resolution process for jointly owned possessions in contention.

We work closely with family and litigation solicitors and cover all categories of art, antiques, jewellery, collectables as well as modern items.

One of our specialist valuers will visit the property or properties and provide a list of all the relevant jointly owned matrimonial possessions and compile a valuation report, complete with thumbnail images to aid identification, and value the jointly owned assets at market levels. Our fees for valuation work are charged by the hour and are extremely competitive. All work is carried out in a speedy and discreet manner. Our expert antique and art valuers provide expert witness reports both nationwide and abroad. We are based in central London and have offices in Oxfordshire.

Our family law and divorce team is headed by Robert Coram James, MRICS, a Chartered Arts and Antique Surveyor who has extensive experience acting as Expert Witness, often in a Single Joint Expert capacity.
